Well, it didn’t take long…..literally within days of arriving in Virginia, Ben’s allergies kicked up. Visions of our previous DC assignment jumped into my head of Ben contracting strep throat nearly every other month. Well, we have been in Virginia 5 weeks (minus 10 days in Vermont), and guess who has strep?! Of course, it is blazingly obvious to us since he has white patches on his throat and lesions on his tongue (ugh….lesions)….but our wonderful military medical facility wants to wait 48 hours for the strep culture to come back. You would think with his history and obvious symptoms that they would at least get him started on anti-biotics, but that would be too logical! Everyone else is doing well so far, so let’s hope it doesn’t spread to the rest of us!Â
