Well, it isn’t much, but it is currently snowing outside! After 70 degree temps in early January, it looks like winter may have finally arrived in the DC area. We are only supposed to get an inch or two, but since the kids have been deprived of snowy winters living in Florida, it is a long anticipated wonderland for them. Right now they are outside having a snowball fight with the neighbors. There is only about 1/2″ so far, but it is enough to muster up some snowballs from what has accumulated on the cars and other flat surfaces.Â
Karen, meanwhile, is stuck in bed with a migraine. Late last night it kicked in and she has been miserable since. Unfortunately, I have to leave for the airport in a few minutes, so I am going to have to have the kids come inside and take good care of their mother. I am hoping the worst is over for her and that she will be feeling better by late this afternoon.Â
I am heading to San Diego for a few days. I was originally supposed to fly out on Monday morning, but that got changed when it became necessary for me to be there for a meeting at 0800 Monday morning. Barring any weather delays, I will get into San Diego at 8:40PM (Pacific).Â
