This weekend, we took the family to see the new Disney Pixar feature animated film, Ratatouille.  As they have done with each of their prior offerings (Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, and Cars), Pixar provided a visually stunning presentation in ultra fine detail that really leaves you impressed with the current state of computer animation.  Couple the amazing animation with a unique and compelling storyline and you have a must see movie that is Ratatouille!  I highly recommend this film as a “can’t miss” for children and adults alike.   

The movie intertwines the life of a young man named Linguini, who has no culinary talents, and a Rat named Remy who is aspires to be a gourmet chef.  They end up in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant and have to work together to create good food and find happiness.  I highly recommend you see this on the “big screen” to truly appreciate this wonderful and amazing movie.

Happy Birthday Ben!  He turned 10 today!!  Where has all the time gone?!!  As soon as we wake him up, we will decide on today’s festivities.  Last night we took the kids to Chuckie Cheese to play for awhile and then went to Applebees for Ben’s pre-birthday dinner.  Today, he will get his surprise birthday present (more on that in a post later today).  Since it is an outdoor gift, it would have been great last weekend.  Unfortunately, it is about 32 degrees today with a wind chill in the single digits!  I hope to post some video of him enjoying his new present later today.  We may opt to go to a movie or a hockey game later today…it is up to Ben.  However, after he gets his present, he may not want to go anywhere :)!
